I'm looking at my options for a covered cooking area to add to my Alaknak tent for End of the road camps. I do not want to do a Alaknak vestibule so I have more flexibility.

I'm Considering:

This way we can sleep 4 in the tent with a woodstove.

The idea is that if need be it can be separate from the tent, or just out the door. With 4 campers, is a 12x10 going to be too crowded for cooking setup that would be a camp chef or coleman 2 or 3 burner stove on a stand with 2 footlocker size boxes and a couple coolers with food and ingredients?

I'm interested in seeing folks layouts for camp cooking areas with optional sidewalls to account for the variety of Weather Aug-October.

Might not work with your tent but this makes a great kitchen/storage area for a wall tent. It’s 8x14 and tons of room.
