It's off to the hospital early in the morning. Time for me to unpack the scrubs and put on my Corpsman hat. All set here at the recovery room with liquids, ice cream, pudding, broths & soups, heat pads, ice packs, barf bags, Meds, movies, pillows, billy club, etc.

After a couple of days post-op recovery it will be a miracle if we both survive ! ;)

good luck...went thru that in August with my daughter...She is doing great now...still on certain restrictions but other than the scar one would not know she had it by the way she acts

I am known as the *ice man*. Wife as been on a Game Ready machine for going on her third week. Have had to come up with ways to make ice last longer now that she can get around, but not fill it herself. The mini paper cups are my friend. I just load up muffin tins with them to freeze larger chunks of ice.Week through almost 600 of them before I figured out that all I needed to do was plan ahead a little and leave them on the counter just a bit and the ice pops right out.
I do feel you you because it is tough on the patient and the caregiver. Patient feels helpless and caregiver feels like a trapped animal after awhile. I just keep telling myself she would do it for me.

God bless. What city are you in? Reach out if you need someone to chat. Distractions are good and I'm sure someone could BS about hunting to give your mind a break.
