Hey guys I dove hunt a lot in northwest iowa. There are some doves around in the right spots. I have gone out and limited out every time but we have some private land by a river and it has a nice beach and lots of forest. there are a few down there. I was wondering if it would attract a lot of them if I were to plant a good bunch of sunflowers down there. My buddies have said sunflowers are really good for them. Let me no what you think!

Yes, grandpa had sunflowers and millet in his fields as attractants for the dove, quail and turkeys we hunted. I think there was also sorghum.

It very dangerous hunting there the first year I would recommended having a pro hunter like myself hunt it the first year:D. I had A patch by my CRP this year but it rained so much it flooded out:( I know some public hunting that has some way in the back and my nephew and friends shot 70 some so it works great.
