I’m breaking the Sunday Pic thread rules, and likely some hunting norms here…

Yesterday I took my daughter on her first hunt. We were helping my dad with a private land cow tag, which, amazingly, has a season that runs through the end of this month. ODFW is trying to reduce the herd in this unit, and things came together in a way that we were able to do our part.

It was really neat to see how into the whole experience my daughter was. She got right in there with me (as much as she could) when I was breaking the elk down. I think I might have a real hunting buddy coming along.

My niece wanted an outdoor wedding yesterday, we all had a great day.

My father-in-law passed away earlier this year and left this to me. Today was the first time I've put it to use.
