Someone wanted to go for ducks last weekend. So we sat on a canal, down from a reserve area and hoped birds would float to us. They did not.

an hr from the house and she informed me she forgot her mittens, so those bright yellow gloves were the best the truck stop had to offer.

Sitting at kitchen island drinking coffee I heard a sound that's not common, I quickly stepped out on the porch. It's only the 2nd time in my life I've seen Sandhill cranes in Ohio. Very cool.

I don’t get to take many landscapes, lately. We both have had the flu or that RSV, bad. (even with shots for Covid and all) But this was from a couple of years ago when I was turkey hunting on top of the blue mountain on the border between Lehigh and Carbon counties Pennsylvania.
