Sunday Pic of the Day

It's not Sunday, but was taken on Sunday.

Dead walleye a buddy and I found. We figured 29-30 inches. A 30 inch walleye could be anywhere from 10-20 years old. Don't really have a point other than it changes the way I look at an animal when it might be older than my children(15,11,8) are now.

Sorry about the fish. And the shoes and beer. mtmuley

Tough to find here anymore. Most of my logs are cabled up from the downhill side. mtmuley
I was out one snowy morning for elk. Saw a vehicle come intothe trail head. Guys got out and looked around. Kind of suspicious, so I hung out at elevation and watched through the binos.
You could see a long way down the access road. They pulled out chain saws. Took down a medium size tree, loaded it up and were gone in less than 15 minutes
The falling snow covered their tracks. When I cam back at dark I couldn't tell they were there.
