Strange BT's

I just received my order of 7mm 140gr BT seconds from SPS. Imagine my surprise when I saw 4 bags of non-red tipped bullets ! At 1st I wondered if they were AB's, but looking closer I saw that the tips are a light gray color. Correct product code. Anyone have any ideas ?

SPS will sell some special run stuff from time to time. Give the a call or drop them an email and ask them. Keep us posted.

Yeah, that was one of my first thoughts too. I actually got the answer pretty quickly from the guys over @ the Nosler website forum.

Looking at them, in the bag, they almost look like a lead tip. Very 'Hmmmmmmmm' inspiring.

They were slated to be Ballistic Silver Tips, just never got the Moly coating. No matter to me, red or gray, they're still BT's and $0.10 each cheaper than I can get them locally.

Bang Bang Bang go the BT's....Down Down Down go the deer !!!! :hump:
