Steelhead Time

One of the good things about living in Northern California is the steelhead fishing. My buddy and I head to the coast 2 or 3 times every year to fish for the silver bullets. We have been on a roll the past 4 years, hooking double digit fish in each trip. This year was awsome. Conditions were perfect, the fish were chomping, river green and dropping, and bluebird weather to boot. We landed 18 on this particular day. Epic steeheading.

Beautiful fish, congrats!!!! Seems like they pick up a bunch more of the color farther up the rivers, but those are very pretty. Wonder how different they taste...?

A few were Smith fish, lots were Eel river fish, and a few Chetco fish mixed in.
