State Trust Land Survey

Saw it on an anti-trapping page on Facebook the other day. That didn’t go the way they planned it. 😂
I had read there was some anti hunting/trapping groups trying to push this to their people.

Share with as many people you know. Don’t let the antis comment more on state lands. I can’t imagine the majority of them have even set foot on a state parcel.

Oh they do!! They’re on them constantly to walk their dogs, pick up the dog shit with one of those convenient little bags, tie it in a knot, and drop it back on the ground!

Thanks for the heads up on this. I commented on the 2-day camping rule on leased land. The first time I found out about that rule, we had to pack up in the dark and move camp after a warden left a note on the truck in the absolute middle of nowhere. But it was our bad, and we’d been there 48 hours. The next time, a warden made us move camp after less than 24 hours because he said it was 2 calendar days and we’d arrived late the night before. It’s a dumb rule, but if they’re going to keep it, they should at least clarify that.

I commented about camping related considerations as well. I didn’t know that about the leased land though!
I also asked that in some of the more suburban areas (piece by piece basis) where they’ve placed weapons restrictions or other restrictions, that they also place restrictions on non-consumptive recreation during established hunting seasons. Places I used to consistently see deer and turkey are defacto dog parks now and it makes me super upset. Doubt that’ll ever change now, though. It’s everyone’s land and if the majority see it better suited for their dogs than the native fauna… democracy…

Agree. Those are good questions and points.

Dogs, dogs, dogs! My kids have dogs; I've had dogs ... but it seems now dog owners have many dogs and value them over humans. 'Seems every other post on this forum is a silly photo of a dog. Stressed out dogs are brought to parades, rallies and other events where it's a real challenge to not be tripped, licked, or jumped on! There are dog parks, which is good, but dog shit and plastic shit-filled bags are dotted all over public places. People, people .... love your dogs ... but leave them home or take them where they don't bother people in public places! End of rant. Thanks for reading my curmudgeonism.
