Starlink router died last night called their helpline and talked to their actually very sexy sounding AI and they’re sending me a whole new kit dish, router and cabling no charge which is awesome except that I won’t get it until 14 June

Sounds like they have descent customer service at least. I switch to starlink a month ago and its almost 10 times faster than my line of sight internet. Love it so far.

I bit the bullet and ordered Starlink for the house. I've been sharing internet with my parents right down the road and it's been getting slower and slower. We spent a lot of time today trying to work it out and I've decided to skip it and give Musk a chance. It's actually cheaper than what he has currently! Assuming it works like I've seen here and elsewhere I won't have any more issues with buffering on the TV.

He has moved out now, but when my son was home there were times we had two Amazon Prime sessions streaming movies and me running a MS TEAMs video call with no problems.

We got it hooked up under the beta testing a few years ago. Multiple computers, printers, tablets, phones & smart TV's with zero issue other than an occasional outage due to weather (has to be pretty intense to drop the signal).

We opted for a better router/modem than the supplied ones. The price has gone up 20-30% since we signed up but no throttling or reduction in speed to the point you'd notice on anything.
