Does anyone have any recommended exercises to increase arm stability when holding a drawn bow? Am I correct in assuming that the stability mainly comes from the shoulder? Or something else? I find that when I hold my drawn bow for 20-30s or more, my arm starts moving quite a bit and would like to tighten that up. Pushups? Bench press? Repeated bow drawing and gently releasing (without firing) for long periods of time?

Cable row, pull ups, anything that will work your rear delts. Push ups will work your chest and triceps.

You could always just shoot your bow and only release the arrow once you've held it at full draw (30-60 sec) for a specific amount of time... A pard and I used to do this when we'd practice. Doesn't take too long and you'll see quite a bit of improvement. If that's not an option, I'd think any exercise that works the rear shoulder/upper back wouldn't hurt.
