spring bear hunt

went out today for spring bear, didnt see any bears but did see one hell of a big moose and about thirty head of elk. anybody been seeing any bears out?

Put in 12.5 miles on foot yesterday in search of bears and came up empty. Awesome looking country that was isolated with food everywhere and not a single bear or even any bear sign. Glassed a ton of country and nada. Wolf sign all over hell though. Thinking they just must not be out in the area yet. Will have to give it another shot in a week or so.

I saw my first one of the year last night. It was way down low.

Still haven't seen one. But there was a WHOPPER of a griz track in the road I walk, yayyyyy!!!!

Spring bear 2012

Here's is what I came up with in North Idaho last week- 25 miles on the boots for this one. OTC tag in Unit 1. Burn the fuel and get out there. Did you know you can buy a second bear tag in Idaho for $31.75 HHHMMM!!!! I do have some more time off work coming up.
He squared 5'9', not the biggest out there but man did he look nice on that hillside in the sunlight. Enjoy!
