Just got my bear rug back from my spring hunt, turned out amazing. He’s set up to be hung, taxidermist put in loops and a solid keyhole style plate under the head for hanging.

Just wondering how other folks on here have theirs hung, vertical? Horizontal? Offset?

Looking for ideas.

I have mine hung with hooks at each of the loops on the back of the rug.

15 pound hooks is all you would need.

I have the head pointed down a bit, so it can be seen better. Right rear foot near the ceiling.

I hung one of mine with black furniture nails. They're basically a black thumbtack with a 1/2" shank. Blends in pretty well with the black backing.

Roofing nails into the felt then in a stud, and a few more nails to keep it spread out. Then sharpie the nail heads to match the felt.

I've seen a few people hang them diagonally, kind of like from shoulder to opposite paw. It looks less rigid and more like the bear is "resting" on the wall. It also tends to take up less horizontal space if you're working with a smaller room.
