Idaho isn't exactly a destination for Specks hunting, but after a couple years of figuring them out we had a little success on the last day of our season. Thanks to IDF&G for pushing the closing date out another week!!

Cool looking birds, congrats! My season ended today as well, first three Canadians came right in, got all three, then nothing . . . not another goose even gave us a look.

Congrats....Specks are by far the best eating goose.....never ate no Canadians.....well except for that gal I picked up in Regina casino......ate a bunch of Canadas tho....

We used to hunt by Kindersly, Saskatchewan and that was speck central. That one has really nice bars! After a while you just pound the juvies as they are way easier to clean. Great tasting meat as well!.

Way to go WDoggy!

Can only remember one time back in junior high that we had a flock of them come over our decoy spread otherwise they are dang tough to come by up here or at least that has been my experience. On the other hand, if they would just let us shoot them along with the SOB's in the spring oh how much easier it would be as I see oodles of them then.

Man I'm jealous We had specs all over our fields the year before they started the late season I haven't seen much sense.
