I had one standing under my tree stand on the Marias River WMA, in Oct. it was dark 30, and I was slipping quietly in to crawl up. It did scare the crap out of me. There's a big mountain in the middle of the river bottom, and I climbed it. Glassed from there. 2 hrs latter a dude that was (Still hunting) walking through,and walked with in 10 yrds of the Big Bore. After the dude walked by, the Griz stepped back out and looked at him as he walk away. Dry wash high water area. I thought I was going to watch him getting attacked. Then the old Bore took off, and a sow, and cub took over the kill site.

I told the kid (bow hunter from cutbank native American) that he walked right by a Griz, say 10 yrds. He packed up and left. It does change things, knowing their around.

I wondered why Critter used crotchless hunting pants. The doo doo can just fall straight down. No harm no foul. Keep on a hunting or running in this case.

I saw a king sized bed spread once made of 12 matched color-phased wolf hides that had that coloration, and I've never forgotten it. It was gorgeous. They'd better get the season going or I'm never going to get my own. I wonder how many I'm going to have to color check to get a matching 12?
