Hi folks! I recently took a job in Livingston and am looking forward to hunting the southern Absaroka this year. I also got my first unlimited sheep tag for unit 303!
I have already scouted a fair amount but have a few more pack trips planned. In August I plan to traverse across the area starting at bridge creek TH (on the boulder river) and ending at cedar creek TH in the paradise valley.
I was curious if anyone has done the ridge walk between Crow mountain and mount Wallace. Or if anyone is familiar with the area?
It looks like those ridges are walkable but I also know maps and google earth can be misleading. I’m also going to have my dog and wife with me so we aren’t going to be doing any serious scrabbling or climbing. I figure worse case we can just drop down and side slope through the basins.
Any advice from folks who have been in the area would be appreciated!
Thanks!
