I'm going to Westminster South Carolina in April for a few days of training with my job.Does anyone know when turkey season opens in that area?Does anyone live anywhere near that area that hunts spring turkeys.I would love to combine a day hunt with my business trip.
Thanks in Advance for any info.

The SC season opens every year on the 1st of April which happens to be a Sunday this year. In that case, the season will open on Saturday March 31. It runs the whole month of April. Good luck on your trip and with the hunting.

The season really depends on the Zone that you are hunting in. The southern part of the state has several game Zones that open on March 15th while the northern part of the state has zones that do not open until the end of the month. I do all my hunting in SC in Hampton and Jasper county which open on the 15th. The state publishes the Turkey rules seperated from the rest of the rules and they do not come out until right about now (end of Feb). They are not on the SC web page yet.
