Our year has been really rewarding from a hunting perspective. My son killed a really nice Muley second season. This week we went to WY and he killed his first whitetail. It was really neat to see him so excited and see him persevere and nock down a buck.

Nobody in our family had taken a whitetail, so I’m excited to eat it.

I honestly don’t know if this would be considered a big or small buck, but to me it seems like a good representative northern WY whitetail. And most importantly, it represents another wonderful outdoor family experience.

Great buck, congratulations to you and your son. Whitetails are often the overlooked, under appreciated western big game animal.
