Somebody, somewhere, has to have some scouting pics to share! ....please!

One piece of advice given to me by an old timer is look for a horse faced billy and the horns will take care of themselves. I think this goat is at least seven years old. Good mass, not exceptional length. I am guessing between 9 1/4 - 9 1/2”ish.

I will shoot him given the chance but I want a closer look at the far way billies if I can before I shoot him.

My main criteria for this hunt is to have a great time with some great friends in awesome country and shoot a billy at least six years old or older.

I have lots of scenery pics of beautiful country that will be shared after the September hunt. No need to invite pressure from other tag holders who recognize a landmark.View attachment 231796View attachment 231797View attachment 231798View attachment 231799
7 yo?

Good looking billy Gerald. Mature goat for sure but I have a hard time getting 9” out of him. I’m jealous…if you ever get in pinch and need another goat dummy to tag along, let me know.

Just checked my cameras for my moose hunt and….found out all my cards were in “read only” mode. Not a single photo.

Couple wallows I found the other day on a steep thick timbered hillside. Loved the look and trail system around them, hated the hike and brush to get to them. My guess is I check on them in September

This is exactly what the doctor ordered. Thanks for the posts @Gerald Martin

I cashed in some points and have been putting a lot of time into scouting for what will be the best elk tag I've ever had. The middle bull in the 1st pic is the best I've seen so far. Just saw him again this morning in the same spot.

Don't care if its a Sasquatch...the dog days of summer are here and sure would be fun to get fired up some game cam pics or something.
I photoed these elk last year in 314 in Montana. Have secured land owner permission to try for that big boy this archery season ..

He’s gonna be nice when that hair comes in. Is your sheep and goat tag in same area?
