Took advantage of my involuntary downtime in June and hit the parks hard to look for critters and take some photos. I went for almost ten days right as the parks opened in June, and just slept in my truck, as most campgrounds and all lodges were still closed. It was incredible! I usually hit the parks once or twice per year, including a winter trip (highly recommend Yellowstone in winter), and sometimes a spring trip depending on my schedule. I never go in summer because of crowds, but figured this was the year, and it worked out! Now, unfortunately, I understand that as the parks have opened more facilities, it is now a crazy circus of
people. Figured you folks might enjoy! Wildlife photography has been an enjoyable off-season hobby of mine since college. These shots were taken with a Sony AVRIV and a 200-600mm lens.
