So much for the vaunted Swarovski warranty.

I can't afford Swarovski. My problem is I have some Leupold binoculars that I bet I abused Buzz style. They need attention. I would like to have them repaired. No chance as they are 25 plus years old. If I send them in, Leupold will give me a new set. Great, but I like my old ones. So, if I had Swarovski, I wouldn't bitch about a repair. mtmuley
I shared the same sentiment once. I hesitated to send a pair of Leupold binoculars in for repair but eventually had no choice. I was pleasantly surprised with a new pair that were an upgrade in class compared to my old ones. I don't miss the old pair now. I think I paid shipping out to them that's all.

Life choices have consequences, not my problem you made crap ones.

You have no idea what my job entails, but very few make it to retirement. I'm guessing you would wash out in a month...actually you wouldnt qualify to start with. Fact.
My life choices have paid off great.

Im certain i make more than you. Work harder, smarter, and understand more than you ever could.

When people ask why Vortex has such a great warranty the response should always be
...Cuz you're gonna need it.

I tried those Vortex 15s one of my buddies hauled around for a season for "tripod glassing" and couldn't believe how terrible they were. Like wow I can see fuzz 15x better now. Are you sure these aren't knock offs? He'd have been better off carrying a can of chili around in his pack. At least you could eat the chili.

With optics you generally get what you pay for in my experience.

The only time I’ve ever needed vortex warranty was when my items got abused. Which was always my fault.

OP, don’t be a snob like some of these….. people….

If I spent all day staring through vortex glass I’d probably have a headache and be cranky too.
that’s where the difference is. Vortex are fine for walking through the timber and looking through your optics sometimes. Put them on a tripod in the desert and stare through them for eight hours a day and it’s like taking sandpaper to your retinas.

Correct.

Warranties are not full replacement under every circumstance your fault or not UNLESS it is spelled out as such. Purchasing top shelf most prob expect 100% coverage regardless what the warranty actually states. Always keep written warranties when purchased since they can change over time.

If a company looks at their product and believe it was damaged in atypical use, most likely will deny warranty coverage if excluded in warranty. Just the way the warranty coverage works. This decision can be regarded as ridiculous if no "abuse" by the user is stated. Companies put their products through designed abuse to insure it will hold up under perceived normal use. If the product shows damage outside the expected then a company likely to not cover. NOBODY wants to hear that including myself. I will remind myself to keep original purchase warranty documentation as well as read company warranty that is posted. Maybe even print for recordkeeping in future. 🤷🏻‍♂️
