I am looking to get some Burris Signature Zee rings for my Swarovski Z6 2-12X50 scope (w/ a 30-mm tube) which will be mounted on a Savage Model 14 and Bergara B14. I just don’t know if the Medium or High rings are the better ones to go with. I will likely put some lens caps on the scope as well but want to go with the lower of the two where the objective lens would still safely clear the barrel. I could just order both and return the size that doesn’t work well, but I wanted to see if any of you have used these rings with similar sized scopes. Scope will be mounted on top of a standard Picatinny rail. Thanks in advance.

Tried looking at the specs to help you and they dont make sense. They say mediums are 0.78" high and highs are 0.80" high, which would be real stupid because 0.02" difference is inconsequential.

I say buy different rings from a manufacturer who knows how to spec something reasonably or list the proper specs on their website. Also, with pic rails depending on where a scope is mounted you can have conflict between the objective bell and the pic rail so its hard to say exactly what height you need without being familar with a rail/scope and to a lesser degree the users ideal scope placement fore/aft.

It’s 0.81” for the medium rings of this model. I may just order both sizes from Amazon and return the one that doesn’t fit. I’ll have the 2-piece rail section, so I shouldn’t have the conflict with the end of the rail and bell.

Interesting. I think the mediums would work but will likely be cutting it close if they do.

Put a straight edge on your pic rail extending forward over your barrel and measure down from it to barrel or where you might have contact on your rifles. If the distance from the straight edge to barrel at the location where the scopes objective bell will have full diameter is greater than 0.25", the mediums will be too low (based on the graphic you posted).

these are the fubar'd specs i see on their website.
