So much for the vaunted Swarovski warranty.

If you knew how much use and abuse I put them through, a nuke couldn't do much more to them.

BTW, I paid $1300 new.
I can't afford Swarovski. My problem is I have some Leupold binoculars that I bet I abused Buzz style. They need attention. I would like to have them repaired. No chance as they are 25 plus years old. If I send them in, Leupold will give me a new set. Great, but I like my old ones. So, if I had Swarovski, I wouldn't bitch about a repair. mtmuley

I have a pair of 8x30SLC's that I bought in 1996. Sent them in for a loose hinge about 15 years later. Came back looking like new. One of the eye cups split about 6 months ago, emailed them and they had a set in the mail before I figured out that the address they had was before we moved. Had to go to our old house to get them, no charge in either case.

I work hard for my money - and have no tolerance for companies that dont stand behind their products.
What kinda truck you driving? I bet it's more expensive than your binoculars. I also bet the manufacturer don't give you a new one if you beat it death. I bet you have to pay for the windshield if you bust it out just like you pay for new glass if you bust the lens out of a set of Swaro binos.

Exactly the comparison I had in mind. If I drive a new truck off the lot and smoke a deer a mile down the road, I don’t expect the manufacturer to give me a new one.

No shit. Ever use tools? Good ones are warrantied and repaired.

Swaro is the ONLY optics company thats got a joke of a warranty.

Yea been using tools all my life. I've had Snap On not warranty some things that had been abused while Harbor Freight is more of a " no questions asked everyone gets a new one " policy. So we could say Vortex is the Harbor Freight of the optics world. In all seriousness I really don't care what other people use. I just get a kick out of how Vortex users always brag about the warranty more than the quality so I like to give them a hard time. If it's working good for you that's great. I tried a couple of them before buying Swaros and found them disappointing.

Apples to watermelons.

I guarantee if there were vehicles that had a lifetime warranty, everyone would be driving them. Especially given the market of vehicles that will undoubtedly break down.

Do you know how many snap on tools are made in the same factory the harbor freight ones are made? You ought to look in to it a bit. You will be surprised.

I get a kick out of someone spending 2k on a pair of binoculars that might not have both lenses treated. 🤣

What I know is what Swarovski did for me.

Rock all the vortex shit you want.

I have a wide variety of glass; Leupold, Meopta, Maven, Vortex, and more. That’s awesome what they did for you. You paid a premium for it, and you should expect premium treatment in return.
