My first look at the first pic I thought, " He looks a bit small, but he looks like he might be trying to avoid somebody else, I'd like to get a look at whatever is down in that draw behind those bushes".

Then after the other posts I went back and took a second look.
I'd be posting hero shots by now....

Also, the OP says 'half way through the hunt on public lands', for this reason I agree with the person who says, "more rifleing-less cameraing"!
