I have a cow tag in North Park, Co units 7/8. Everything I see references the same 500-1200lbs for a Shiras cow, I think it come's from the YNP website, but it seems everything you google is a cut and paste from there..

Where in that range does a normal adult cow average? How about a 1.5 yo? I'll be by myself and trying to determine how far from a road I am willing to hunt...

I've never seen a moose up close.

I'd put a big cow closer to 900ish and a 1.5 year old cow around 550ish. I'm not too far from the unit you'll be hunting and would be happy to come help pack one out if you get in a bind!

I have killed two anterless moose. The first one was actually a young bull with nubs that just protruded past the fur. I was kinda shocked when I rolled him over. He was about the size of a rag horn bull elk, maybe a bit bigger.

The second one was a cow, older I think, she was about the size of a large bull elk.

Good luck on your hunt.
