Not really, she was pizzzzed that I just bounced her cub down the hill. She was doing the head turn, giving me the evil eye. I had camera in one hand and bear spray in the other.

Been running into them every day at work. No griz tho, thank god. Saw this one yesterday. Really nice blondish boar.

Do you know where this is? This is the back side of the view you get when you come up Ravalli hill into St. Iggy. Taken in the Beaver Creek area on the border of the Lolo and Flathead forests, in the southern end of the Swan. Been working in there, pretty awesome place.

I took this on May 19 about seven miles West and a tiny bit South of where you're standing in yours. I've spent a lot of time in that country.

I would have been very happy to have bumped in to that blonde guy that day.

As always, love the pics. I dated a girl from Kalispell for over 5 years and spent a lot of time up there. Would love to have lived there, but my job here and too many people moving up there made up my mind for me. Still a great place, even though I remember when it was a one stop light little logging town. Ahhhh, the good ole days!

The coat color on that bear would have puckered me some. Was the Sow making any sounds? The Sow with cub I ran into last sounded like a lost cow.

Hey guys this may seem kind of dumb But I had no clue there was a place named St. Iggy. You guys wouldnt happen to have a picture of a sign or something that you would be willing to email me by chance. Ignatz was my grandpas Name and everyone called him Iggy It would be cool to have a picture of a forest service sign or something on it to put in wih his stuff in all of the family books . Plus Wyodeerhunter I see your Quote By Finis Mitchell in your sig. He was my great great uncle on my moms side we spent alot of time around him, even went up to his peak in the winds with him once He was well into his 80's when i was little so I never really got to pick his brain like i would now but still cool to see all of this in the same thread anyway thanks guys

Yeah, the color had me thinking, "oh boy" at first, but quickly saw the head.

Sow wasn't making sounds, just moving her head from side to side, like "kill him" or "run", "kill him" or "run"....

Yep that's his book like I say I was too young to realize it back then but atleast mom set aside a few of his things for us..... I got a couple fly cases of flies from way back in the day and an old auto reel fly reel gotta pay attention if you mess with it dumb thing will give you rope burn all over your fingers lol
