Seth Bodnar - independent US Senate candidate

The surest way to a "party puppet" for your representation is to elect someone that disappears into a basement during election season and isnt even beholden to low rent campaign promises. Worse even - if that congress creep was inserted by collaboration in DC and not voter engagement in MT.

The fact that Alme is taking the Joe Biden approach to being elected is striking to me.

Whackadoodles is my new favorite word. And a fitting term (for the desc given) for my neighbors whom mostly have arrived post covid.

In what way are they Whackadoodles? (that is too long to type- we need a shorter word).

I wonder, are people who complain about the two-party system setting up to blame democrats for not changing their vote or republicans?
I don't get the sense that there is any internal or real external pressure felt by republicans to change their vote. The sleazy way Daines put Alme on the ballot seems to be perfectly acceptable to them. So I would guess there will be far more blame put on dems for this one.

Polls for more recent elections seem to be off by quite a bit. In any case, 6 weeks left is time for lots of movement.
Where did you move here from and what compels you to vote alme?

Im only asking for understanding, to be clear.

Neither are relevant to the thread.
What compels you to vote for alme?

And how that might be different than someone else?

Seems relevant to me. Irrelevant would be things like SEC football, to thread and in championships moving forward post expanded playoff ;).

I think we've touched on why people might or might not vote for throughout this thread. I'll try to summarize. I don't think very many people only consider one factor. You may disagree.

Some vote for party no matter what. Reasons include knowing that any Senator will caucus with one party or the other. Most know that they will likely disagree on some positions.

Some vote for whoever isn't in power hoping the other party will be better. Or, they prefer stalemate over one party rule to get things done.

Some believe politicians when they do ads and speak. Some ignore it all. What you believe says where you will likely vote.

Party leaders picked each candidate with the funding coming primarily from Winred and Actblue. If you are against that, then the top candidates aren't for you unless you are willing to ignore that fact.

Interesting.

I believe you missed something.

Some have observed folks like Thomas Massie and John Fetterman - and want to vote for someone whos not simply a "yes" vote for any admin priorities including and especially when they dont agree with the state populace's priorities. Public land sales, for example.

What you care that is a legitimate, present, and practical risk will determine your vote.
