SECOND STEELHEAD TRIP OF THE YEAR

That looks almost as fun as Alaska! Need another friend to fish with? ;)
Funny I've only fished in Alaska when I was caribou hunting and caught a few graylings. This is only 4 hours from my house. After my last weekend my buddy might want to be replaced. 😂

Awesome photos!
Amazing. Finally two posts relevant to a thread. Why the change?

I live ten miles South of Lake Michigan, but yet rarely fished the big lake. They have a famous salmon run up the coast of Michigan in the town of Manistee that is supposed to be excellent I’d like to try some day. However, that occurs in Sept/Oct when I’m hunting somewhere.

My go to annual fishing is now for walleye in the Maumee River, near Toledo. That season runs March 15-May 1, and I limit out often. It’s a blast and the fillets are the best.

I’m just truly surprised that you’re not wanting to know where to go fishing even though you live next to a ginormous freshwater lake.

Maybe you could create a post asking for people’s fishing spots???

Season kicks off for me March 20th this year. They will be thick in the river by then.
