And we are on the board in SE CO with creed’s first rooster! Poor shooting on my part or we would have a limit by now.

Final tally for the day is two roosters and a bobwhite with the old model 12. I did see one other group out hunting. I killed the bobwhite out of a cover of two I flushed. The other rooster i shotnwas the only other pheasant I moved this morning after getting into them at the first spot i hit. Next stop, northern NM. Question is over raton or through OK?

Good choice who wants to deal with the traffic in the pass anyway. You'll drive past some good pheasant country around Felt.

Interesting, looked like watermelon without zooming in but on further inspection that looks right. Never heard of it. Pretty cool find!

We find those occasionally while hunting in south west Nebraska. Never knew what they were. We just called them gourds.
