Well, things are a little slow and the weather isn't much help.

I have seen lots of bucks, but most have been smallish 4 points (shmalts, if you have to ask, click the little x in the upper right hand corner and walk away from the computer). :D

Me and my buddy found this buck the other night. Balanced 5 point with an extra 3" kicker off a G-2. And athough I got pretty excited, my buddy thought we should hold off and hopefully he really develops into something special next year. Now if he will just stay put and not get popped during the next week.

Here is a small 4-point in the same area. We have seen and passed on about a dozen of these.

Here is another shot of the bigger guy checking out the does. I wish I had better pics as he was much closer before I pulled the camera out. I think those bushes are 430 yards from where we were glassing and snapping pics.

Here is a shot of my buddy that filled one of his tags yesterday afternoon. We spotted this buck with some does and when they filtered to a small reservoir for a drink, this guy hung up in a vegetated fence line. We stalked in from about 1/2 mile away and within 60 yards. My buddy offered me the shot, but with lots of time still to hunt, I made him kill the buck.:D We figured, just stand up and kill the buck, but the buck new something was up and started walking up the hill towards us. While in a sitting position with the bipods down, this buck was in trouble. I watched this guy tip-over at 30 yards from a neck shot as he was looking over the rise trying to figure out what the two bumps were.:D

My buddy was not happy with the overall size of this buck, but he still has another buck tag in his pocket and this guy does have some sweet browtines.

The whole intention of this outing was for me to fill my doe tag. Right after this buck went down, we saw another deer in a nearby drainage. Figured I might as well shoot it since we already had one down in the area. We weren't sure if it was a big doe or not, but decided it probably was. Took and off-hand shot and watched it trot off with a big hole behind the shoulder. Woops, doesn't look very big. "He" went about 50 yards and tipped over. My antler-less tag ended up going on a button buck. Oh well, it will eat good.:D Got a couple pics, but I have already embarrassed myself enough on this one.:D

Later for now, gotta help pour some concrete. Tyson, I will give you a call soon to see if you have a Hills deer tied up for me. Haven't made it up to the tress yet.

That is a dandy buck. We found one with a very similiar split g2 on one side, but is still just a young main frame four point. Hopefully he looks like your buddies in a year or two.

What is up with the buck your buddy killed. Almost looks like a bow, and wheel shawdow on the rock on the left side of the pic.

That buck does have sweet eye guards. He'd have been a good one to see in a couple of years.

Horn Seeker, your buddy's buck is a stud!

I didn't even notice that Craig...I guess he must have had his bow in the stand with him (he treestands over some scrapes) in case he got a close shot, but otherwise he loves to muzzleload.

Heres another angle...

The first buck is a nice one! He'd be hard to pass on. Hunting that country for whitetails just looks like a blast! Have fun and keep the camera rolling...
