I like to look at maps before going out scouting a new area. I found this posted on another site and thought that I might share it here also. Download the World Wind , it is a 3-D flyover software.
Let me know what you think or if you have other software for this.
I have the DeLorme software. Think it gives me an amount of aerial view time & the option to purchase more. Haven't used it yet but can see the potential for real world utility. Thanks for reminding me. BTW, I use this software in conjunction with a Magellan Sport Trac Map GPS. Am still figuring software and GPS out.
