Sandhill crane !!

So how does one go about hunting Sandhill cranes?
I’m sure depends on what state you want to hunt and there regulations, I’d start by deciding where you would want to hunt then get on G&F website and see what there process is and regulations

Full Bodied Decoys and a well maintained/built blind. They have excellent eyesight, so decoys and blinds need to be kept in good condition. As has been mentioned they can put the hurt on a dog very quickly. Excellent table fare. Yes, a 20 gauge will work.

I have a story about a near life and death struggle between myself and a not as dead as I thought crane that I tossed into my vehicle. As I strangled it to death, my own blood dripping down my torso, there were moments I wasn't sure I was winning the fight.
Now my friend that’s why you bring a gun to a beak fight !! 😃
