Local farm/outdoor store in town is getting bought out by Runnings. I know there pretty popular by some of you guys North and West of us. What you say any good? I was in the one on Glendive but not really long enough to remember much. Do they carry quite a bit of hunting/fishing stuff?

Some stores have a bigger/better selection than others but overall not too bad. Alot of times they will order you stuff too.

Grew up with one nearby me. Wasn’t a great store, more of a farm store. Then they moved locations across town and it was a much larger building. Lots more outdoors stuff, good supply of fishing, hunting, reloading, trapping, and lots of ammo. I couldn’t possibly count how many cases of trap loads I bought there before I moved away in 2018. $52.99 for a case of Federal 1-1/8oz loads killed thousands of birds on the farm growing up. Paint me a Runnings fan.

I really like ours, pretty good selection. Their selection of firearms is smaller, lots of fishing stuff. But like someone else said they aren’t all created equal.

New here, had an interesting experience at the Dickinson, ND location. An employees slapped/pushed my hand away when filling out info on a laptop. When reported to the Manager he didn't seem to care and told me not to come in anymore. Any one else experience something like this?

It's no Scheels, but it beats a dicks sporting goods or Dunhams. It's just like a fleet farm. Might have what you are looking for, might not!

I went into a dicks sporting goods in South Carolina looking for 20 gauge TSS this spring and after walking around for 5 minutes searching, I finally asked an older guy where the guns and ammo was and he told me they haven't sold hunting and shooting stuff in the store in years.

He smirked and whispered that “ they pretty much only sell golf clubs and dildos these days…”

Hearing a 70 year old man say that was beyond funny. Lol

Runnings will typically have a good selection of factory ammo for most common cartridges and ours in town has great shotgun shell selection in the early season. Kinda get it while it’s hot.
Otherwise, they have a lot of basic stuff for hunting. Maybe it’s the location of ours being on the Missouri River, but ours has tons of good fishing gear. I
That being said, if I ever go there looking for something specific, I’m fairly pusually disappointed.
They do have good hardware, tools, clothes, etc. I like ours.

Might be. We don't have shit for fishing. You can tell whoever stocks it isn't local or doesn't know much about hunting in illinois. We have oodles of large caliber big game ammo. No season for it here.
