I've been craving a Montana in 308 for a few years now. I'm kinda hoping this might be the year I finally pull the trigger on one; unfortunately there a few items in front of it on the buy list.
I double dog dare you!!!Man, seems to be a lot of Kimber fans here. Maybe I should get an FFL and sell them "on the cheap" to my OYOA buddies.

I agree with that!! Though I'd like a Montana right now, I really want a SuperAmerica for following my son around the hills when filling his tag's much more important than filling mine.Kimber's, wood or synthetic, are easy on the eyes...the euro slut Socko's...not so much, cept for the wood/blue with the red recoil pad model.

Just got an email saying that I get to take one of these - Kimber 84M Montana .308 for a test drive while filming the AK black bear episode. Thinking it will perform very well for the task at hand.
Will arrive as a package, sporting a nice Leupold VX-3 3.5-10X40.
Thinking if I beat the hell out of it, maybe they will let me keep it. Or, I might have to buy it at FMV, which given the damage it will likely incur, is probably not worth the frieght and hassle to ship it back.
Probably be shooting these Federal Trophy Bond bullets in 165 grain.
...and in a 7wsm....doesn't get any better.A Kimber MT mated with a Leupold scope could be quite the combo.

You still rockin' the Hubble on the 6# rifle?
I am still man enough to haul it up the mountain.I wouldn't call the 4.5-14 a Hubble, but that is definitely the largest (maybe even a bit bigger) than I'd put on that rifle.
Now if I was just half the man...I am still man enough to haul it up the mountain.![]()
