Sad day we have come to in America when different views can result in assassination and assassination attempts on political figures/political activist.
Sympathy for his wife and young children.
Regardless of where you stand politically this is cowardly and disgusting.
I wish I had not watched the video, I wasn't prepared for it. I can not imagine having that much hate toward someone I disagreed with.
RIP Charlie Kirk

If you haven't watched the video you shouldn't. It's awful. I'm not even a fan of Charlie Kirk, but I am disgusted by those who seem to be celebrating it.

There is an enormous amount of naïve delusion about violence in this country. Not American Violence, just violence and what it does. As I see people, some of which I know, seemingly celebrate another political assassination, I increasingly wonder about a widespread loss of decency and practical wisdom in our culture. Those stupid and ghoulish enough to cheer and dream of a state of affairs where CEOs-they-don't-like or right wing personalities are killed on the streets in the name of some heartless and imbecilic version of comeuppance, will, if they get their way, be one day obliterated with shocking remorse that that’s not how it works.

Violence, that impermeable barrier to compassion, escalates. I’m no expert on violence, but I've seen blood and death up close, and watching the terrible and sad video of the assassination of Charlie Kirk today was the first time in a long time that memory bothered me again.

We do not want our children to live in a country where political division is resolved with guns and blood. Because very quickly, our children are no longer in a country, and many are no longer living.

A certain group of people have blood on their hands. 31 years old with 2 babies and a wife. I loved Charlie. All he wanted to do was have an open dialogue with people, challenge them on their beliefs and push them towards God. I'm sick to my stomach. May he Rest In Peace and may his family, friends and colleagues find Peace.

Charlie Kirk—more than anyone i can think of on the right or the left—built his platform on an effort to model civil poltical discourse and debate in the public square. His entire project was built on reaching across the divide and using speech, not violence, to address, and process problems.

I cant see how this will get better for America.

This is well said. I’ve seen a whole lot of blood and violence up close. People getting shot, stabbed, run over, and just about anything else you can imagine. People who cheer for this type of shit are sick and delusional.

Very sad. Lots of sad tragic events lately. It really saddens me the number of facebook “friends” posting the “this is sad, but….” Posts when they clearly are not sad before his body is even cold.

I really hope our country can use these events to come together, but I’m not optimistic. We’ve become so divided.

I unfortunately watched the video very early and knew the outcome before it was announced. He and his family are in my prayers and I really wish they would scrub it from the internet. His kids will forever know the evil that ended his life is memorialized forever. Knowbody should ever have to see something like that. I pray for everyone. The violence and evil that exists in this world is horrific!

I saw it as well. I knew taking him to the hospital was as helpless as when they took JFK to the hospital. My blood is still boiling as i know people are celebrating this.

Couldn't agree with this more.
