Restaurant Recommendations Around Holloman AFB

My wife and I will be visiting our son at Holloman in two weeks. Our son mentioned wanting to take us to a BBQ place in Cloudcroft that he likes, but was curious if there are other restaurants in the nearby towns that anyone can recommend that we can go to as well.

I was stationed in El Paso, went to Las Cruces a few times to eat but honestly cannot remember the name of the places. Some very good authentic Mexican cuisines. Since I'm of no help really, I'd YELP it.

Take a drive over White Sands to Mesilla. La Posada is probably one the best Mexican restaurants that you could enjoy in your lifetime. Worth the trip.

Restaurant has been there for over 60 years. My sister ate there as a freshman at NMSU. She is now 85. I ate there as a freshman at NMSU in 1971,
Reputation is firmly established. Food is not as good as early years, but still great.
