I drove through parts of Maine two weeks ago Ive never been there. I see that northern Maine is very unpopulated and remote with few towns. Whats that country like it appears to be a huge wilderness

If you love off grid North Maine woods is a great place to be. I have hunted there several time and love the area. A lot of the area has to be hunted through a Maine guide service as least the last time I was up there. Great hunting and fishing.

I’ve hunted unit 4/5, specifically around Chamberlain Lake. It’s really cool to be out that far in the middle of nowhere. Some decent Maine bucks lurking out there too.

Where were you going that you “drove through parts”. I’ve never heard anyone say they drove through Maine like they were on a Sunday drive.

Id never been past North Dakota. So four weeks ago I said lets go. Flew into Buffalo, Newyork. Rented a car and drove through New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts , Then up to Pennsylvania. Spent a day in Lancaster County. Fascinated with tha Amish. Then two days in Gettysburg so much history was exciting being there then back to Buffalo. The country was beautiful peaceful laid back but congested. Spent my whole like in Nevada. There is just no open space out there Talked to a lot of guys They said that if you dont own land or know someone who does. ????
