This rifle is a limited-edition from 1989 and is part of Remington’s “Classic” series of 700s, in which they would only make the rifle in one cartridge per year.

It has a walnut stock and blued action and 24” barrel. The original trigger has been replaced with a Rifle Basix trigger, set at 2.5 lbs.

The rifle likes 151 grain Hammer Hunters. I have personally put 135 rounds through the barrel. The rifle used to be my dad’s, and he thinks he put less than 150 rounds through it in all the years he owned it. So less that 300 rounds down the tube over the life of the rifle.

There some scuffs on the stock, as seen in the photos.

The rifle comes with 100 pieces of once and twice fired Weathery (Norma) brass, 40 pieces of once fired Remington brass, and RCBS full-length dies.

I can also send two boxes of Remington Core Lokt 180 grain ammo for $60 extra.

Apparently I’ve done a pretty bad job of labeling load data on my photos of bullet groupings over the years, because I’ve got a ton of photos of groups but almost none of them are labeled. I’m pretty sure I know which are the photos of the 152 grain Hammer Hunter loads and 180 grain Accubond loads, but since they’re not labeled I’m not going to post them. I did find some pics of some loads I was testing with E-Tips (below) which grouped about the same as the Accubond loads but not as well as the Hammer loads, which were leaving the barrel at just under 3400 fps with RL26.
