Bought this in the PT&G barreled action sale. Ended up building a 30-06AI off of a Walmart donor action while I waited for this to show up, when a reamer, die set, and 30-06 barrel landed on me almost for free. I liked the 30-06AI more than I thought I would.

It’s stainless, cerakoted black, 26” fluted barrel, and threaded muzzle. The chamber was finished with a PT&G SAAMI Match reamer, meaning it is SAAMI minimum chamber dimensions, but with a longer throat and a 1.5 degree lead. I can dig up the print if necessary. The barrel does not appear to be hammer forged, so it is likely a Shilen. The trigger is a factory X-Mark pro. Stock is an Iota Kremlin that has not been bedded. Bolt is a PT&G one-piece with M-16 extractor that was “blue-printed” to the action, and has PT&G firing pin, spring, and shroud. Bottom metal is PT&G stealth style 3.775”. That’s longer than the normal 3.715”, but does not require modifying the action. Comes with one magazine.

Never fired. Never mounted a scope.

$1600 shipped.

If someone will buy this before any more results come out, it will probably cause me to draw a bison tag.

I actually do. I've been on the prowl for a 338LM for a while.... unfortunately that barrel profile is a few dozen titty hairs under my minimum . Great rifle though!
You might like it more than you think. It would be tough to build at this price.

If I used a premium bullet would this perform well on coyotes and antelope?
This thing would send a "premium" bullet through a coyote without even knowing it hit anything. I believe there is such a thing as too much energy.

I shot a couple of doe antelope with 300 gr accubonds out of .338 RUM. I didn’t feel underpowered but you can never be too careful. Wouldn’t want to walk up on one that was still kicking…they can be ferocious when they feel cornered.

No one with an elk, moose or bison tag that needs to spend some money in the off-season?
