I live on a cistern yard only needs mowed couple times a year and it can always wait another week.

My Grandparents place way North of Shelby had a cistern. I remember as a little kid going to a Hutterite colony to fill my Grandfather's water truck. No indoor bathroom until I was 12. In 1978. Fun times. mtmuley

I couldn’t imagine hauling water thru the winter up there especially without having a heated shop to unthaw the trailer in before the next load

Usually all the water doesn’t drain out and the following week I have ice in the bottom of my tanks and the plastic valve break easy so I put it in a shop to let it thaw out before hauling a load
