How many people get their dogs the vaccine? It seems everything I read there isn’t enough clinical trails to determine much of an impact because how relatively new it is.

I think it’s about 50/50.

Thanks, I didn’t think about searching.

We have a lot of rattlesnakes here. A lot of dogs are bitten annually. Both our vets recommend the vaccine, so for the $20 it is a small price.

When I moved to AZ, I figured I’d get them for my dogs. Our vet said he didn’t administer them because there’s no data showing they work(that was 2018).

He retired a few years ago. We asked the new vet and she said she didn’t know if they worked either but would administer them because the chance of a negative reaction is extremely low.

I still haven’t got them vaccinated but I may, especially for the more active one that likes to stick her face in places.
I think that the snake avoidance training would be good too. Possibly better.
