I've done a little guiding and helped a friend and Outfitter run down and kill lions and bears since about 1998 or 99. But the past few years the lion population has been thin so I bout quit hunting hunters. I do have a couple of lions to kill this year, that is if a good tom climbs when I have a lion hunter with me.
The DWR closed down the bear pursuit in the fall so a guy can't legally run bears that time of year, so I just play and hunt lions. Too many of the hounddoggers in Utah will take a guy for free or gas money or guide without a permit is why I have about quit guiding bear hunters. I still run lots of bears, but most all all are caught for fun and released. I have also helped the Fish & Wildlife bunch out alot on problem bears and so forth. Last summer I caught some sows for them to put radio collars on to prove up production.
But for the most part I just play these days..............
