Not sure how many of you are Boone & Crockett members but it is out first and greatest conservation organization and a very good one to support.

One of the great things about being in a Canadian spring bear camp is there is usually time to kick back, recharge, and catch up on things you are normally too busy to do.

For me that is catching up on a little reading and I started with the latest excellent B&C magazine

There was a lot of good information in there about the efforts B&C is making as far as sheep goes and one of the article was done by the one and only @Big Fin.

I bought a pile of tickets to try and win that hunt yes, but more so to support the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society of which I am a life member.

Randy, I appreciate what you do; not just for all of us with this platform to share, but for the great work you do for all the conservation organizations you are associated with. Your actions back up your words and that is a rare thing in this world.

Well written article that give the reader the feeling they are right there on the mountain along with some excellent life advice. That is a job well done.

Thanks, Steve. I appreciate the kind comments. I agree that B&C is a great org; a group whose good work is overshadowed by the idea that it is merely a record keeping organization.

And the same with AZ Desert Bighorn Sheep Society, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society, and the many other state-based groups who are advocating for sheep at the local level.

PJ, one of the editors of Fair Chase magazine, grabbed that story from the much longer version I wrote here on Hunt Talk.

Hope your bear hunt was successful.

B&C is a great group that was the very first conservation orginization and they are as Big Fin stated are way more than a trophy keeping group. Well worth it to join them in their quest to keep wildlife on our landscape in healthy numbers, and yet they are even more than just that.
