question/whine about podcast

Maybe this has been asked and answered already, but what is that irritating popping noise that is present in the background during the podcast?
It is annoying, and I can't believe that it is deliberate. I also can't believe that it could not be isolated and eliminated.
I listen to the podcast via iTunes. Shouldn't make a difference, but it's a data point.

It is the fact that there are three to four headsets all wired to the same recording device. Any movement of the cables or the headset creates that pop. The production company, Zero Point Zero, is looking into ways to solve it or to find new equipment to replace the existing podcast kit.

Sorry about that. We know of it and are looking for solutions.
