I bought a new deer hunting book for my grandson's b-day which is not for several months from now. But I am also interested in reading this book. Do you think it would be alright if I read this book before gifting it to him? Hoping the binding does not show use. Please share your opinion. Thank you. TR

I would be honored if my grandfather had bought me a book and took the time to read it before gifting it to me. It will give you something to talk about with him as he reads through it.
Absolutely! I think it adds not detracts from the gift.

I agree. You reading it first makes it special. I’d also take time to write him a note in the cover. A shared book on its own creates a bond. One shared between a grandson and grandad even more so.
