Quest for a Sask moose day by day

Well I’ll say this about this hunt it’s a high pressure gong show packed into four or five days. Prep is key. I like to have a solid game plan from scouting and kill my moose ASAP.

Right at shooting light this morning dad and I quaded in to some cuts. He went north i went south to check Out where I saw a small bull yesterday while scouting. I was going along the “trail” with my quad and it was on some ridge tops looking down into beaver swamps. Suddenly spotted the bull 150 yards away not a care in the world must have thought he was hidden one quick shot and he was down but not before making it to the other side of the swamp. Took five hours and a quad rollover to get him out. And two quads often hooked together to get him out. Biggest body moose I have ever shot. I thought my big powerful quad could do anything but I got humbled today. Also my trailer I bought that I thought was a bit undersized proved to be a extremely tight fit for a moose this big. Need some mods for next year

Now to see if we can get dad a bull tomorrow. Hopefully a spiker that weighs couple hundred pounds less lol.
For body size reference I’m 6’1” and we didn’t even have his nose fully off the ground. For those curious he measured 44” wide. My biggest moose ever
