Quail Opens Today

Anyone in AZ going to chase quail today. I am getting off work early and heading out around 230 or so. I was watching a few coveys yesterday evening and really want to get after them. Anyone think the quail numbers are down this year in AZ? With the drought and all I have heard alot of talk about hurting the quail population but the areas I hunt seem to have more birds than ever.

Few I think the only place's that will be affected is where there is no water(stk tanks) But I even see birds in places like that... I know lake pleasant is loaded with quail I usually get 2-3 per trip when I go fishing(with the truck)

Ive been keeping my area well watered. hey Delw let me know if you want to shoot some birds I have a few honey holes close to home...
