Fly fishing hemostats work great as well. I carry them for the dogs as well as myself. Gentle pressure to pull them out intact then crush them with the hemos. You can lick the hemos if you want to build up resistance to lymes or alpha-gal.

We switched to the gallon jug of ag-style permethrin. Time to resoak everything. Still getting the picaradin lotion by the 1/2 gallon though. We have something like 5 kinds of ticks now. Been dodging bullets most of the spring/summer though.
