@Hunting Wife maybe. mtmuleyAnyone want to take a guess at what this is on an antelope liver? You think it's safe to eat the meat?

I didn't cut it open unfortunately and only grabbed 1 picture.Did you happen to cut into one, by chance? Curious what the inside looked like.
That white covering looks very fibrous to me- I assume fairly hard and tough feeling. That usually indicates something chronic- it’s been there a while. Also looks like a fairly minimal involvement to that one lobe? Seems like it’s something the body kind of contained on its own. Could be parasitic- liver flukes aren’t that uncommon. Could be bacterial. Hard to say from that one photo. The rest of the tissues I can see in that photo look beautiful.
I wouldn’t eat the liver. I wouldn’t have any qualms about the meat.
Yeah, I think you’re probably fine on this one. If you were seeing multiple organ involvement or something that looked really active, I might take pause.I didn't cut it open unfortunately and only grabbed 1 picture.
The rest of the liver looked very normal. Same with the lungs and heart.
I agree w everyone else that the meat should be fine….curious what the gall bladder looked likeI didn't cut it open unfortunately and only grabbed 1 picture.

Tapeworms might get better traction on the HT 2026 Weigh in Thread.Confirmed with FWP these are tapeworm cysts and won't affect humans in this stage.
Anyone want to come over and enjoy some free liverwurst?
