That's why you pop the horns before the process... also if your not doing that I imagine they stink for months as the flesh under the sheaths rots... gross

After you have the horns off, fill them with a little 20 mule team borax. Let them stand for a week or 2. It will dry them out nicely.

45 minutes in a boil with oxiclean
pull the horn sheaths
pressure wash
skull only, another 45 minutes in peroxide
done

Here is a small one in the pot with a little oxiclean. The oxiclean wont hurt the horns or change the color at all.
